Running Goal 2017-Finish Line

The finish line has been crossed! I set a running goal at the beginning of 2017. I had hoped to run 10K every week for each of the 52 weeks in 2017 for a grand total of 322.4 miles. There were many reasons why I set this goal but overall, my lungs need the physical activity and I need the accountability of a set goal.

There were a few rough patches in the year, including a health setback in June but I am happy to report that as of this morning, I have surpassed my goal and run 335 miles so far in 2017! Let’s see how many more I can get in before the year is done:)

This is a song that I’ve been playing on repeat while running the last few weeks. My relationship with Jesus is my biggest motivator and He is my source of strength. He is the reason that I continue to fight the good fight and remain faithful in taking care of myself. I am so thankful for the endurance and stability He has given me.
