In the Hole!

hospital cartoonSo I had a cf clinic visit on Monday. I knew going into this appointment that things weren’t looking that great. I caught some sort of a virus about 2 weeks ago and had flu like symptoms for 5 or 6 days. It left my respiratory system completely wrecked and I have been experiencing pretty extreme shortness of breath and fatigue since. Unfortunately, my pulmonary function tests on Monday confirmed that my lung function has decreased since a few weeks ago. I knew my doctor was going to have ‘the talk’ with me. He feels it’s time for some IV antibiotics. I couldn’t argue with that. I feel crummy. I will do anything at this point for a chance at some relief. So yesterday, I came into the hospital to be admitted and get my picc line placement and today I sit here in my hospital bed, hoping that this is the start of feeling better. Not sure how long I will be here but I’m looking forward to brighter days ahead!
