Enjoy the little things

2015111795151116Living with cystic fibrosis has taught me to appreciate the little joys in life. I haven’t felt like doing much of anything over the last few weeks, but yesterday, I knew I wanted to get out of the house for a little bit during my afternoon treatment break. My mom picked me up, we got our afternoon coffees and headed out to Queen lake to enjoy the sunshine for a few minutes. The water was so still and peaceful. It was heavenly. I hope you were able to find a little joy in your afternoon too.

One Response to Enjoy the little things

Praying for you Emily. It would be easy to feel discouraged given the circumstances yet you are looking to the Lord and finding ways to be thankful! What a blessing and inspiration. Our kids are doing thankfulness journals right now and when we started, I encouraged them to write a few things a day. They have blown me away– Isaiah is up to 300 and couting and Isabel and Micah are both near 50. I really see a change in their attitudes and it has humbled me to be more consistent in my own thankfulness heart attitude and writing in my journal. Love you and we continue to pray for you! Keep looking for things to be thankful for!
